They live 200 kilometers (124 miles) south of Paris at Châtres sur Cher,a small village (less than 1 000 inhabitants) located in the wonderful country whose name is "Sologne" near Orléans and around one hour away from "The Chateaux de la Loire".

Faustine (maiden name : Larroque). Born : 05 June 1990 at Auch.
They all live with their parents at Castera-Verduzan.

My Aunts :
(sisters of my mother)

Because my father has no brothers or sisters, I do not have any uncles or aunts whose name could be Cavey.

Simonne (maiden name : Chauvel 1927-2004). She was the twin sister of my mother (so she is not a Cavey). Married with Roger Jourde (1923-1996). Her daughter Evelyne (born : 1947) married to Joseph Wandon (1939-1997) and living at Franqueville-Saint-Pierre, in the suburbs of Rouen (Northern Normandy). My aunt had also a son, Patrick (born : 1957), married Martine and four grand-children, Emmanuel, Pascal, Jerome and Mathieu, all sons of Evelyne and Joseph.

Monique (maiden name : Chauvel 1928-2008). She was the little sister of my mother and Simonne. Married with Raymond Jemma (1931-2001). They had a daughter, Marie-Paule married with Alain Jejcic and a grand-daughter Alexandra Innamorati, daughter of Marie-Paule (obviously...).

Ten ancestors back

The number at the beginning of the line (preceeding the name) indicates the number of generation I am from them.

My Grandfather (father of my own father)

II - Pierre Cavey. Born 28 December 1894 at Bessé-sur-Braye (Sarthe). Married (1919) with Georgette Pierre-Bes (1900-1976). He died 23 January 1968 at Nogent-le-Rotrou (Eure & Loir). He was boiler maker at the French railways. Specialist in boilers and industrial hollow-ware for steam-locomotives.

My Great-Grandfather (grandfather of my father)

III - Julien Cavey. Born 30 September 1865 at Blainville (Manche). Married (1889) with Elisa Lalande (1859-1915). Died 08 March 1919 at Chateauneuf-sur Charente (Charente). He was the first Cavey of my branch to leave the Southern Normandy because he worked for the French railways so that he had to move more than once.

Generations of Caveys before my Great-Grandfather

Note that all of the Caveys listed below were born, lived and died, in Southern Normandy, in the county of Saint-Sauveur-Lendelin (La Ronde-Haye is about at 3 kilometers - 1.8 miles - and La-Vendelée about at 8 kilometers  - 4.9 miles - from Saint-Sauveur), except (IV) Pierre Cavey who lived and died at Blainville, county of Saint-Malo-de-la-Lande (Blainville is at about 6 kilometers - 3.7 miles - from Saint-Malo which is about at 12  kilometers - 7.4 miles - from Saint-Sauveur).

IV - Pierre Cavey. Born 02 Mai 1835 at La-Vendelée (Manche). Married (1863) with Flore Leplanquais (1839-1908). Died 22 December 1892 at Blainville (Manche). He was the father of Julien above, my Great-Grandfather. He worked as weaver and roadmender. He lives in the reigns of Louis-Philippe the 1st (1830-1848), Napoleon III (1848-1871) then under the Third Republic (1871-1940).

V - Toussaint Cavey. Born 25 December 1796 at La-Ronde-Haye (Manche). Married (1822) with Rosalie Lepellay (1800-1876). Died 4 April 1866 at La-Vendelée (Manche). He was the father of Pierre above. He worked as cobbler and small farmer. He lived in the reigns of Napoleon the 1srt (1804-1815) and Kings Louis XVIII  (1815-1824), Charles X (1824-1830), Louis-Philippe the 1st (1830-1848) and, finally, Napoleon III (1848-1870).

VI - Jean-Baptiste Cavey. Born 4 April 1770 at La-Ronde-Haye (Manche). Married (?) with Marie Yon (1769-1837). Died 10 February 1838 at La-Ronde-Haye (Manche). He was the father of Toussaint above. He worked as small farmer and day laborer. He lived in the reigns of King Louis XV (1715-1774), Louis XVI(1715-1774), during the French Revolution (1789-1794), then, in the reigns of Napoleon the 1rst (1804-1815), Kings Louis XVIII (1815-1824), Charles X (1824-1830) and Louis-Philippe the 1st (1830-1848).

VII - Toussaint Cavey. Born about 1734. Married (1759) with Françoise Laisney (? - 1851). Died 18 April 1828. He was the father of Jean-Baptise above. He worked as day laborer. He lived in the reigns of Kings, Louis XV (1715-1774), Louis XVI (1774-1792), during the French Revolution (1789-1794), then, in the reigns of Napoleon the 1srt (1804-1815), and Kings Louis XVIII (1815-1824) and Charles X (1824-1830).

VIII - Toussaint Cavey. Born about 1700. Married (1733) with Marie Lalande( ? - ? still alive in 1759). Died 6 Mai 1750. He was the father of Toussaint above. He worked as day laborer. He lived in the reigns of Kings Louis XIV (1643-1715) and Louis XV (1715-1774).

IX - Louis Cavey. Born about 1643 at La-Ronde-Haye (Manche). Married (?) with Louise Larose (? - ?). Died April 1718. He is supposed to be the father of Toussaint above. He lived in the reigns of King Louis XIV (1643-1715) and, may be, at the end of the reigns of Louis XIII (1610-1643) and two years in the reigns of King Louis XV (1715-1774).

Because Louis Cavey is "supposed to be" the father of Toussaint, but we cannot go further. As told on the page French Caveys' history the name is continuously present at La-Ronde-Haye without any breaking since 1580, but we could not link the Caveys found there with my ancestors Cavey above.
