Huguette (maiden name : Chauvel). Born : 15 June 1927 at Paris.
At home. She looks after her grandchildren and great-grand-children.
Married since 1st June 1945 !
They live 200 kilometers (124 miles) south of Paris at Châtres
sur Cher,a small village (less than 1 000 inhabitants) located in the
wonderful country whose name is "Sologne" near Orléans and
around one hour away from "The
Chateaux de la Loire".

Living with her mother Colette at Chatou in

II - Pierre Cavey. Born 28
December 1894 at Bessé-sur-Braye (Sarthe). Married (1919) with
Georgette Pierre-Bes (1900-1976). He died 23 January 1968 at Nogent-le-Rotrou (Eure & Loir).
He was boiler maker at the French railways. Specialist in boilers
and industrial hollow-ware for steam-locomotives.

My Great-Grandfather (grandfather
of my father)
III - Julien Cavey. Born 30 September
1865 at Blainville (Manche). Married (1889) with Elisa Lalande
(1859-1915). Died 08 March 1919 at Chateauneuf-sur Charente (Charente).
He was the first Cavey of my branch to leave the Southern Normandy
because he worked for the French railways so that he had to move
more than once.

Generations of Caveys before my Great-Grandfather
Note that all of the Caveys listed below were born, lived and died,
in Southern Normandy, in the county of Saint-Sauveur-Lendelin (La
Ronde-Haye is about at 3 kilometers - 1.8 miles - and La-Vendelée about
at 8 kilometers - 4.9 miles - from Saint-Sauveur), except
(IV) Pierre Cavey who lived and died at Blainville,
county of Saint-Malo-de-la-Lande (Blainville is
at about 6 kilometers - 3.7 miles - from Saint-Malo which is about
at 12 kilometers - 7.4 miles - from Saint-Sauveur).

IV - Pierre Cavey. Born 02 Mai 1835
at La-Vendelée (Manche).
Married (1863) with Flore Leplanquais (1839-1908). Died 22 December
1892 at Blainville (Manche).
He was the father of Julien above, my Great-Grandfather. He worked
as weaver and roadmender. He lives in the reigns of Louis-Philippe
the 1st (1830-1848), Napoleon III (1848-1871) then under the Third
Republic (1871-1940).

V - Toussaint Cavey.
Born 25 December 1796 at La-Ronde-Haye (Manche).
Married (1822) with Rosalie Lepellay (1800-1876). Died 4 April
1866 at La-Vendelée (Manche).
He was the father of Pierre above. He worked as cobbler and small
farmer. He lived in the reigns of Napoleon the 1srt (1804-1815)
and Kings Louis XVIII (1815-1824), Charles X (1824-1830),
Louis-Philippe the 1st (1830-1848) and, finally, Napoleon III (1848-1870).

VI - Jean-Baptiste Cavey.
Born 4 April 1770 at La-Ronde-Haye (Manche).
Married (?) with Marie Yon (1769-1837). Died 10 February 1838 at
La-Ronde-Haye (Manche). He was the father of Toussaint above. He
worked as small farmer and day laborer. He lived in the reigns
of King Louis XV (1715-1774), Louis XVI(1715-1774), during the
French Revolution (1789-1794), then, in the reigns of Napoleon
the 1rst (1804-1815), Kings Louis XVIII (1815-1824), Charles X
(1824-1830) and Louis-Philippe the 1st (1830-1848).

VII - Toussaint Cavey.
Born about 1734. Married (1759) with Françoise Laisney (? - 1851).
Died 18 April 1828. He was the father of Jean-Baptise above. He
worked as day laborer. He lived in the reigns of Kings, Louis XV
(1715-1774), Louis XVI (1774-1792), during the French Revolution
(1789-1794), then, in the reigns of Napoleon the 1srt (1804-1815),
and Kings Louis XVIII (1815-1824) and Charles X (1824-1830).

VIII - Toussaint Cavey.
Born about 1700. Married (1733) with Marie Lalande( ? - ? still
alive in 1759). Died 6 Mai 1750. He was the father of Toussaint
above. He worked as day laborer. He lived in the reigns of
Kings Louis XIV (1643-1715) and Louis XV (1715-1774).

IX - Louis Cavey. Born
about 1643 at La-Ronde-Haye (Manche).
Married (?) with Louise Larose (? - ?). Died April 1718. He is supposed
to be the father of Toussaint above. He lived in the reigns
of King Louis XIV (1643-1715) and, may be, at the end of the reigns
of Louis XIII (1610-1643) and two years in the reigns of King Louis
XV (1715-1774).

Because Louis Cavey is "supposed to be" the father of
Toussaint, but we cannot go further. As told on the page French
Caveys' history the name is continuously present at La-Ronde-Haye
without any breaking since 1580, but we could not link the Caveys
found there with my ancestors Cavey above.
